i have always set my bars high, to be able to get the grades to study clinical psychology. Until i went for Abnormal Psychology class.
I mean, it is fun and all that trying to diagnose people. But, omg, the amount of studying and hafaling i must do. i can die five times okay! So then....I do not think clinical psychology is something i see myself do for the rest of my life. Well, for now at least.
then, i always joke around with my parents and friends that i want to be a marriage counselor.

then today, something happened at church that made me want to save marriages and try not to let them fall apart.
There's this girl in church. We see her in church since she was like what 5/6 years old. She always comes to church with her father. He's this big guy, muscular and always with his daughter. Always. For a long time, we did not see her mother with her.
Recently, her mother started coming to church. We see them on and off la. They will be together. They have another child too, about age 3. Looked like a perfect happy family:)
Just today. She came with her mother to church. I saw them and wondered where's the father. Then halfway through mass, he came and sat at the back of church.
After mass, he went looking for his daughter. She came and gave him a hug. AND HE CRIED!!!
He cried. This man teared as he hugged his kid.
omg, when i saw, i wanted to cry also. I mean, we always see him in church and he would be always with his daughter. She always sat on his lap and like always together wan la. inseparable. Her mother was still sitting on the bench. never approached them.
So, I'm just guessing that he hasn't seen her in a long time. and i'm guessing marriage trouble?

well, i do not know the real story, but from what i saw, it is heart wrenching enough. i just hope things turn out fine.
i really hope i would be a good counselor and try to help people help themselves solve problems.
I'm talking to elaine about life decisions now. I still do not know what i'm going to do when i grow up(I mean get out of school). lols.
But for now, counseling seems feasible.

I ended so abruptly. lols. It was because, i was writing halfway and was feeling very angry. Then. I stopped writing and saved it as draft. lol.

and yes, it is so obvious we do not have equal opportunities. From my perspective, just because i am a girl, my parents worry too much and do not let me out of the house, but it is fine with my brother and he gets to go out as late as he wants and whereever he wants to. I mean, if i were given the opportunity to travel around town and go out more often alone as i was growing up, i would not be such a chicken to go to places alone. But not to blame my parents, the world is unkind to girls. We cannot walk out of the house without the fear of getting raped, or stared at. or being called "eh girlll, phheeeewweeett. HELLOOO!!!". like wtf! haihsss. as of equal opportunities in school and college, i guess, we (ok, maybe just me...and those studying in private college and went to urban schools) should feel that we were given equal chances as boys, no complains there. I even did KMT(some machine/woodwork course) in Kemahiran Hidup. Yeay for that! (Because, i think that home economics for girls and KMT for guys is so stereotypical)
(This is like so tiny compared to abuse, other more serious women related issues and all that jazz, but it is what i experienced growing up)
I''ve always felt the unequalness in terms of my brother and me. Because, that's the only "discrimination" i get all the time. hahahaha. even if it is like from my parents. Like girls must wash plates, girls must hang clothes, girls must wipe tables, girls must sit properly, girls room must be cleaner, girls must have clean rooms, girls must do this, girls must do that.......laadeedahhh......*there are many, trust me!*
I always fight for equal times of washing plates and wiping tables after dinner and i think it matters because then, it will teach my brother to treat his gf/wife in equal terms and don't be like Indians (Indians because, in bollywood tv, thats what they do as i observe) who sits at the table and wait for wives to put food for them on the table (probably even feed them) and hold their briefcase and tie their shoelace to send them to work.
wtf.
anyways, working world is a year away from me. I can't say that i have experienced anything in that area yet, but i've heard stories. So far, i've seen many women who are so DYNAMIC! for example, Stephanie who works as a stage manager and study, and organize IWD. omg, i wanna be like her when i grow up (and have a mini Stephanie action figure who talks, lol [inside joke]). My mum, who worked all her life to support my family and my unnecessary shoppings! My boss, who is like what young and has her own company plus funding emmagem. My aunt, who is a housewife and like taking care of so many children who turned out to be such good kids! And, yes, of course, myself. I'm proud of myself being a girl(okla, women i know i old) and living in this world!
Of course, who could forget the dynamic women(in a good way, lol) at HELP who made IWD '08 happen!:) Anujah, Chi Sum, Xue Zhen and Ivy: You girls rock!! Glad to have worked with you :D
so, yea, be proud of being a women, i mean, its not easy as a lecturer of ours mentioned (we have to have kids, omg!lol) trying to gain the same respect from people(men and women themselves). But it is sure worth it!

People came for the talk on wensday and our sales has been so awesome.
awesome is the word to describe the week.
Thursday was bonding session time between me, steph, anujah, xuezhen ans chisum. We were laughing and talking trash (sluts, whores, leeches, dumbs, pinky and the brains etc). It was super funny i tell you.lol.
I made a total of 145+131+20 cupcakes = 296 cupcakes. (+10 huge ones for RM3 each)
We sold them for RM1.50/Rm1.30 in bulk (thanks to another cupcake sale in college who wold theirs for RM1.50, we naik harga also! muahahahahha....It's a business, baybee!).
(We all must learn how to just naik harga! Can make you rich, wtf)
Go figure how much we made just from cupcakes!

international women's day 08
I am super surprise by the amount of girls who do not feel like they support the idea of gender equality. We went around college today asking people to sign our banner and i have been asking around if they would want to buy a T shirt
Its like, come on, if it wasn't for women's rights movements, there would not be jobs for you right now or even be in university!!! Women has been discriminated since FOREVER!
but anyways, a lot of people have misconceptions as to what is gender equality.
No, we do not mean that men have to have babies and women have to stop wearing skirts!
It just means equal opportunities. like, getting paid equally, becoming a pilot, becoming a president, or smaller achievable things like becoming the breadwinner of the family without being ridiculed. or smoking and drinking without being a called a "slut". do not get "cat calls" the (pheeweeet thing guys do to girls) lols. walking in a street without the fear of getting raped! Working after getting married and having 2 kids and still can be CEO.
yeah, i find it hard to believe that some girls do not believe in gender equality. women's rights are human rights too! Even if you don't believe in gender equality, at least, show some support to celebrate women!
Ok, so, backstreet boys has a new fan club thingy which have to pay wan la. its like $44.95 USD. Get to read their blogs, watch videos, etc. butttttttttttttt, only certain countries can join, wtf!

Im def net ly a little buzzed but.... im sure that all of you know that i love ya. I want you to know that you are important to me . And i am talking to ya cause you deserve it. This is the beginning to an amazing friendship. I wish you were here to see the beauty that the rest of the world has to offer. Im thinkin of one day movin to another country.
